Sessions

Who benefits from Whole Body Therapy?
People work with me for varied reasons, including clear diagnoses, chronic issues, acute symptoms, trauma, vague un-ease, and well-being maintenance. This work is potent enough to alter the way your bones relate to eachother, yet gentle enough for situations where other types of bodywork might be painful, or even unsafe--- post-surgery or injury, pregnancy, infancy, elderly and end-of-life.
Whole Body Therapy complements conventional treatments; my clients include doctors, their families, and referrals.
What conditions can be addressed?
As an integral part of Whole Body Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy (CST) complements the body's natural healing processes, boosts resiliency, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction. To see a list of specific issues CST can address, click here.
What is a session like?
With your first session, we’ll start with a simple intake form and discuss where you’re at in terms of well-being, and where you’d like to be. This is an opportunity to share pertinent health history and ask any questions you might have.
A guided session provides a time out from what is happening around us, a safe space for you to drop into your body and attend to what wants to be met. I'll meet you there with attuned and energetic hands, as a flow of bodywork emerges--- fully guided by your innate capacity to regain well-being. I'll hold space for changes to come from within your system, accessing the path of least resistance to change and freedom in your body.
Disciplines I draw upon may include the following. (Ultimately, the bodywork we do is informed by your body and being, and so, not limited to any list.)
CranioSacral Therapy
Somato-Emotional Release Therapy
CST for the Immune System
CST for the Brain and Neural System
Polarity Energy Therapy
Compassionate Communication
What might you experience?
It’s often tricky to put in words what this subtle, yet potent therapy feels like since each session is a unique experience and can reach into depths where language doesn’t exist. During a session, you may notice a wide range of sensations (heat, tingling, intensified awareness of symptoms, tissue releases...), or perhaps feel as if not much is happening at all. Some sessions emerge through stillness, others are accompanied by active physical movement, some in relative silence, others with dialogue and emotions. Because the autonomic nervous system is accessed and balanced, you’ll likely feel deep relaxation during, or by the end of, the session. And, afterwards, you will notice subtle to significant shifts towards ease and flow in your experience.
For online sessions:
I suggest a solid wi-fi connection and a quiet, private and comfortable space on your end. Some clients opt for sitting and eye contact throughout, but others choose to lie down. It's up to you and what feels right.
Number and frequency of sessions:
I ask clients to consider their body's response to a session, as well as their needs and desires. Some clients enjoy weekly sessions, as they are working through specific issues, to encourage momentum. Others schedule regularly, for health maintenance, every two to four weeks.
Rate: $100 for 1 hr.
